FOOD

Over 100 sun-soaked days, the Pepperpot Rum Shop will showcase a melting pot of delicious food, drinks and iconic cultural touchstones inspired by Andi Oliver’s recipes and Antiguan heritage. Set in a prime location at one of Antigua’s newest beachfront venues, the Treehouse Beach Club, the launch also marks the start of the vibrant Antigua and Barbuda Restaurant Week (4th-19th May) which attracts food lovers and travellers from around the world. These innovative island experiences will be a true celebration of Caribbean gastronomy and culture.

Inspired by some of the dishes created for Andi’s successful London restaurant Wadadli Kitchen, and Andi’s touching foodie memoir, Pepperpot Diaries, visitors will be treated to some of Andi’s most celebrated dishes, like chocolate curry goat, alongside some innovative new recipes created for the event based on the availability of local ingredients.

Andi says, “I’m so thrilled to be showcasing some exciting recipes as part of Pepperpot Rum Shop on the stunning twin island of Antigua and Barbuda. Caribbean food hasn’t been codified in quite the same way as French and Italian and yet there are more than 5 ways you can make rice and peas, countless recipes for BBQ chicken and at least three different kinds of pepperpot! I can’t wait to share some of the dishes inspired by friends, family and my Antiguan heritage.”
